How far people drive

Families come from
four hours of highway
in every direction.

Before 2020, an after-hours emergency in this part of south Georgia meant a midnight drive to Tallahassee, Tifton or Gainesville. That is the gap this hospital was built to close.

Doctor-owned since November 2020

Built by a veterinarian who was tired of saying "drive to Tallahassee."

Dr. Jillian Courson opened the hospital in November 2020 and built it to AAHA facility criteria — the surgical suite, the in-house lab, and the overnight ward are all here because the alternative was sending patients down the interstate at 2 a.m.
